Party!
My girls are eating me out of house and home lately! I just can't keep them full, and our cupboards are showing it! This week, I focused on getting some of their favorites and also on getting some things that were healthy yet calorie dense. My new 4 year old's birthday party is also today, so there is also some birthday party food in the mix. I allotted, $75 this week for food due to the birthday party. I tried to get some of the things that I needed ahead of this week (veggies and dip, cake mix and frosting, etc.) but there are some things you just can't do that with (strawberries.)
This picture is of our second trip to the store (Price Chopper) for the week. My pre-tax total was $38.41. I saved $35.96.
I also made a trip to Hen House where I got a pineapple, a pint of blueberries and three Lean Cuisine pizzas for $7.

ReplyDeleteMy oldest will be 4 in two weeks and the party is going to be a budget breaker. I see it as saving the whole year so I can afford to celebrate these moments without worry! Good for you, planning so well as to only have to up your budget a bit! Way to Go!
Good job! Happy shopping!
ReplyDeleteAh, Strawberries. I can't wait to see pics of E's big bash! I can't believe you've been a mom for FOUR YEARS. Gosh, we are getting up there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. LOL.
ReplyDeleteKudos for taking utilizing healthy and filling snack choices. We have a 6ft 4inch teen son and we're always busy keeping fruit and other healthy snacks in the house.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday wishes to your daughter!
I love MPM. I'm able to get loads of inspiration, recipes and meet new bloggers.
